About Us
Fairlane Veterinary Services was founded by Amy in 2019, with a vision to provide high-quality veterinary care while building strong, long-term relationships with clients and their animals.
Originally from California, Amy began her veterinary career in 2003 as a kennel assistant while completing a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. After graduating, she became a Registered Veterinary Technician and spent several years working in small animal practice, where she developed her passion for dentistry. She then gained experience at an equine referral and surgical hospital before going on to study veterinary medicine at Ross University, graduating in 2010.

Amy moved to New Zealand in 2014 and began her career as a large animal veterinarian in Hāwera. Over the years, she developed a particular passion for both dairy and equine medicine, eventually bringing these interests together when she established Fairlane Veterinary Services in 2019.
Her interest in equine dentistry continued to grow, leading her to complete her membership in Equine Dentistry through the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
For Amy, one of the most rewarding parts of veterinary work is the relationships built along the way. Whether helping a nervous horse develop trust, working through a difficult calving, or helping a client achieve their goals on farm, she values the trust and friendships that develop with clients and their animals.
Today, Fairlane continues to grow with the same focus on providing practical, high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with the farming and equine communities we work alongside.
